Our Projects

Prior to opening Thompson House Interior Designs, over six years ago, Donna was an independent interior designer working in many homes throughout Virginia.  She received her Bachelor of Arts and Science degree from Marymount University, of Virginia.  Her studies included a customized background in Design.  Coursework and experience allowed Donna to gain familiarity with a variety of design concepts including the field of interior design and home decorating.  Concepts included, but not limited to: application of floor planning techniques, furniture placement, color theory for interiors and textiles.  These skills allow Donna to be proficient in personalizing her clients' goals and needs when addressing contemporary, traditional or urban design styles.  Donna also has extensive experience in product development, public relations, business operations, and visual merchandising.  Over the years she has developed a practice with commitment to critical thinking while fostering a foundation of an interdisciplinary approach to interior design.

Donna feels  fortunate to have the assistance of a very talented team. This specialized team consists of three design assistants that work together as your visionary advocate to insure they help you achieve endless possibilities with interior design, home decorating or home staging projects.  Together they will create a comfortable, yet timeless interior that will reflect your lifestyle.  They will monitor your design or decorating project very closely to ensure that no detail is overlooked.  When your project is completed, your home will accurately reflect your unique sense of style while bringing a harmonious balance of form and function to your living space.   You will love your new living space for years to come!
